Impeach Your Radio, Pt. 1

Who Controls What You Listen To?
Did you know that the music industry - or better yet, those behind it - control what
you listen to? They actually make you listen to music that you may not like while
forcing you to abstain from music that you have never even heard. How do they
accomplish this?

GENRE LABELS!
This is the first thing you see when you enter the aisles & you instinctively
gravitate towards the genre(s) you have been fed. Now, I'm not saying that you
cannot like what you like, but I am saying that we have been psychologically
coerced by the music industry to become audio-consumer zombies, guided into a
life of predictable musical tastes. But, think, for a moment about the implications
of the flip side. Imagine that there were no genre labels. Imagine that the artists
were all in alphabetical order. What sounds would you open yourself up to if you
did not have a music industry fabricated genre label to inhibit you?

A Sound Alternative
Imagine, Charlie Hunter's latest next to a 4-track recording of a prog garage band
in Belgium. Imagine the legendary
Fela Kuti next to the soulful sounds of Ms.
Felicious!
Imagine The Killers next to Charlotte, NC up & comers KMK!
Imagine
Roger Troutman next to the spoken word of Georgia's own R.O.M.E.!
Imagine
My Chemical Romance next to the nu-jazz hip-hop of MikeTV! Imagine
Sugarcult next to Charlotte, NC's Soulganic!

Imagine how many of you would now be truly digging
the MLC 3...
