Balmy Spring Night
Jazz Man
& Band Hands
Playing soul ebonics
electronic
tonic
elixir to my mystified
Mind
creative juices flowing
cool breezes blowing
drinks pouring
no one snoring
but i am storing
Memories of tonight
Forever in my mind
And on these white lines
Of endless time
Of music rhymes
And chorus lines
No longer blind
Colors emerge
As the notes drift
Heavenward
And all I feel
is the bass in my chest
soul-funk music at its best
We are truly blessed
To be able to hear
Life at its greatest
My life on these pages
Recorded on a balmy
spring night
Because there's a time for
speaking
A time for sleeping
A time to listen
And my ears are ringing
